This item is perfect! It immediately heats up, remains consistent in temperature and is light/portable. My cat will not use it. It is so unfortunate because she is addicted to the costly space heater I got for the winter. I tried to place treats on the mat to get her acclimated to the product but she just won't comply. The product is great. I sometimes sit on the heated mat just to keep me warm and because it's fun. I am a 109 pound human. At least some body in the home is using this product. Would suggest to anyone with a pet. My cat is just picky, I guess. The cord comes with a metal wire curled around it to protect the wire from being chewed. It's a thick piece of metal. The color of the mat is not ideal but it does come off to wash. 10/10
