I bought this to replace an old 7 series that I have been using for a number of years. It worked/still works well after numerous head changes but decided to replace it after the trimmer broke. One of the things I don't like about this shaver is the need to swap out the shaving head for a trimmer head, which is a bit unwieldy compared to the older model's fold-down style. While the moving-head design of this device can be considered a "feature", in my case it didn't offer a smoother shave. I shave the same amount or longer and the results are no better. In general everything is fine.
