I just received this collar so I can't comment on the durability. Overall I really like the design and it seems pretty reflective. However, for $17.99, I'm really disappointed with the Martingale feature. The martingale loop is too small so I have to tighten the collar a bit for this feature to actually work. Basically it's pointless because the loop doesn't allow enough restrictions to actually work the way martingale is supposed to work. The last collar we had was a martingale, the loop is much larger and I was able to keep the collar loose enough to put on and take off the dog. Being a hunting dog, we change collars quite often during hunting season (I don't like my nicely patterned collars getting dirty and ruined while hunting). However, this collar was not reflective and we really needed a reflective collar as my dog belches occasionally. This is very scary for us as it is dark in color and cannot be seen. A reflective collar is required for his safety. It's very hard to find martingale collars that also reflect, so I was happy to find one because it seemed to have everything I wanted: style, reflection, martingale. Considering the martingale portion of this collar is virtually useless, I could literally go to my local Menard and just buy a regular reflective collar for $10 or less. So yeah, I'm not exactly happy with literally wasting the extra $8 for nothing. 3 stars because I like the design and it serves its purpose as a collar, but minus 2 because I spent money on a broken martingale function.
