I used this to go to a national conference and it fits my 17 inch laptop and other stuff. The only thing is when you use all the pockets it becomes too bulky and you can't close it anymore. Otherwise, I now use it as my daily work bag and it has held up quite well. Update: It lasted almost a year with almost daily use. I had a small renovation in my house and I forgot to clean it. In short, it was like picking it out of the trash when the job was done. I tossed it in the washing machine, gentle cycle, air dried and it looked brand new and didn't damage the bag itself.
