We have a loft office with a ceiling of almost 14 feet so you don't want to be changing lightbulbs on a regular basis. We have previously bought a competing brand of these lamps which have been disappointing in terms of looks and performance. But from the moment we opened the boxes of these new lightbulbs, we knew it was going to be a good experience. The lamps are heavier and better made than our previous brand, although they are significantly cheaper. The rear of the lamps is silver plated and halogen shielded for a clean light source without the retinal glare associated with smaller lamps. The actual light is clean and slightly warmer than most lights in this category, again giving the product high marks. Our office staff are happy about the "new light" in the office when we have actually done nothing but change the light bulbs. It was a change for the better.
