I used my first pair last night - apart from a stinging little toe (due to dryness and flaking: it burns with an open cut), they felt good on mine feet. I left them on for 3 hours - I don't believe those short term use instructions - a total waste - I also wash them and save them for later use - if I just want to moisturize overnight - in my experience these products don't work to their fullest potential strength if you don't extend the application time - I would leave it on all night, but since this is an exfoliant I turned it down for a number of reasons: 1) Irritation (chemical or not). I find scrubs too harsh for my skin - I'm pro MUD masks) 2) Fear of the unknown (in the morning my feet look like I have eczema?! If it were just wet socks I'd leave them on for 8 - I gave 1 star for "warmth" for 16 hours - they were cool and refreshing - this is only the second foot mask I've tried - my feet are super soft today :) it was the crazy coupon lady deal of the day otherwise I wouldn't have known I was going to buy it - I wasn't looking for a product at the time. I posted a photo of another mask I used over the summer - I think it was less harsh on the skin than this one, and I'm a big believer in using all sorts of tea tree products, including the face, for a sparkling clean cleanse Update: About 5 days after applying the foot mask the legs started to peel - I let the peeling happen naturally - I figured if it's like a blister peel before it's done then the wait is over worth it. Now my feet are very soft. Update 19/09/21 Reading this old review of mine is ironic and funny - I forgot. I used this foot scrub last week and forgot to read the instructions, although I've used it before - I put it on my foot more since I have a small foot (6) - and then I put a moisturizing sock over the Booties pulled to store them in the night spot. I removed the mask in a long hot shower the next day. - The skin is dry, irritated, red and "dotty". - I hope it goes away and it's just an annoyance; that my feet will soon become very soft. However, I do find that I had an odd reaction to this - I don't normally have skin reactions to products like this, but the scrubs are harsh I think.
