HP z420 workstation users looking to upgrade their power supply for a powerful graphics card.

My HP z420 Workstation has a 600W AC adapter that is exclusive to this model of machine. The motherboard has only 18 pins instead of the standard 20 or 24 pins found on standard ATX motherboards. The pins are also electrically different, so I went with this adapter instead. It works like a champ, just plug it straight into the single rail (6 pin ONLY) of my power supply and I can use my nVideo GTX 680. Classified graphics card with the (2) 8-pin connectors my card requires from a 6-pin bus. I HAD NO PROBLEMS!
