As a veterinary technician I can tell you that I have always used this product in every clinic I have worked at. If you can't pump a kitten or don't have a cystocentesis at the clinic but need to collect urine, all you have to do is fill a clean tray with a small container of NoSorb and wait for your kitten to urinate. Of course, you'll need to isolate your kitten if they live in a multi-cat household. The small granules do not absorb urine (hence NoSorb), but they do give our kitty the opportunity to feel burrows in the urine. You can then walk out of your clinic with your sterile syringe and cup, or even use the same NoSorb container you just emptied into the box to collect the urine that has pooled in the box around the NoSorb pellets to bring them to your clinic. Very easy and non-invasive compared to cystosis, bladder pumping or even trying to put a cup under your kitty while he's peeing (much easier with a dog) and more natural than trying to get your kitty to pee. a tray covered with plastic wrap as he doesn't have to worry about his paws getting wet and can use NoSorb to hide the urine. Highly recommended.
