Description of Grade Pressed White Thickness Diameter

Grade F1 white pressed wool felt is an extra-firm fabric commonly used for polishing. Minimum 95% wool provides better insulating properties and a greater ability to absorb and retain water, oils, and other liquids than felt with lower wool content. Density helps provide high vibration absorption and high resistance to abrasion and wear. Rated for use in temperatures ranging from -80 to +200 degrees F. Meets SAE J314 standards.

Underwhelming Fabric for Industrial Use

This fabric may work for artistic projects, but it falls short for industrial and scientific purposes. The thickness and diameter are inconsistent causing issues during production. The only positive is the color. However, with the lack of reliability, it`s not worth the purchase..

Pros
  • Smooth surface and evenly pressed for easy writing.
Cons
  • May have limited applications due to its specific size and thickness.

Fantastic quality fabric

This fabric is amazing for industrial and scientific uses. The thickness and diameter are perfect for creating sturdy and durable products. The quality is unparalleled - it feels sturdy and doesn't fray easily .However, it may be a bit pricey COMPARED to other options in the market. Overall I highly recommend this fabric for anyone in need of high-quality fibers and textiles..

Pros
  • Smooth and flawless surface
Cons
  • Not suitable for painting or coloring

Good quality

I used this felt to replace some of the worn out felt guides in my vacuum's heavy duty whipping attachment. I had to cut my own template with a utility knife but it worked fine. The hammer no longer vibrates like it used to.

Pros
  • Raw material
Cons
  • Not sure
