Just What I Needed best in my review

My previous SUV experienced an ugly scratch from the inside of the garage door, when it came down while the hatch was open. Ouch! So when I got my new SUV, I didn't want to repeat that painful experience. I placed these self-adhesive pads on the inside of the garage overhead door right where it would contact the hatch on my SUV if the door came down. Yep. They work! Don't ask me how I know, that's a story for another day.

Pros
  • worked to add padding to steel brackets to hold my jeep doors on the wall.
Cons
  • The foam may leave residue or damage surfaces when removed, making it difficult to reuse or reposition the pads

They're ok in my review

I bought these to replace the adhesive foam on my Yakima rack. This foam is noticeably cheaper, it rips easily, and it is really thin. It's in place, but it will have to replaced sooner than later. It's definitely not great for my application.

Pros
  • Does not compress and is perfect for hoof stand padding.
Cons
  • The foam may compress and lose its shape over time, reducing its effectiveness in providing insulation or noise reduction

Very sticky and thick foam

Worked great for me. I cut them up and used them on my PC case feet to stop noise from going through my desk. on time and good condition.

Not the advertised dimensions not even close

It is nice quality foam but it is not even close to the dimensions that is advertised at 6x6x1/2”.It’s useless for what I need and I have to return it

  • Used this in a toy helmet to make it fit better. Foam is dense and sticky. No problems with it at all.

  • The neoprene rubber may emit a strong odor, which could be unpleasant in enclosed spaces or sensitive environments

Slightly smaller than specified

I purchased the 6" square 1/2 inch thick sheets, and they were more like 5 7/8" square, and slightly under 1/2 inch thick. Unlikely to matter for most people, but thought I'd post this just in case the actual size matters to somebody.

  • Junk. The foam tore apart just touching it, it’s not durable at all. Waste of money.

This is not Industrial strength, or tear resistant, as they advertise.

Was very disappointed in this product. It's described as industrial quality and strength. That it is tear resistant. In truth, I can easily deform and tear the surface with little more than rubbing my thumb or finger across it. I was trying to use this a padding on a rifle cheek raiser, which should work, per the descriptions they give for the product. But the simple act of smoothing it out to adhere it to the underlying surface, tore the padding. I cut a second piece and repeated, but still…

  • The price of the product may be higher than alternative materials or brands, making it an expensive choice for larger projects

The size of the foam did not match the listing.

The size of the foam sheets I received were approximately 3 7/8" by 3 7/8" by 5/16" so they were not suitable for the project I had in mind which required 1/2" thickness as advertised. That being said, the foam seemed of good quality for those for whom those dimensions will suffice

  • I used these for underneath my computer desk. Nice and soft place to put my bare feet.
Cons
  • The black color of the foam may make it unsuitable for projects that require a different color or aesthetic
