Live looks better than in the pictures. The magnet is strong and will hold it to the side wall of the fridge. Any other cheap plastic timer pales in comparison to the looks of this device. It's very intuitive to use, but note when you get it you'll have to open the battery compartment and remove the plastic insert that keeps the battery from dying (and the device from working) until it's removed. I've been so happy with it that I buy more when I have multiple things to do in my kitchen at the same time. It's pretty big for a timer. So if that's an issue, you might want to look elsewhere.
