These are cute, simple salt and pepper shakers. I like the small size which makes it invisible on the table. The refill holes are on the bottom and are covered with small plastic plugs that fit snugly and require care to remove without tearing them. The two shakers are identical except that one has six openings on top and the other has seven openings. I've been told that the one with more holes is for salt, so that's how I use them, but I think there are people who disagree. The hole size is the same, big enough for the regular salt and pepper you buy off the shelf. If you make your own grind, make sure it's fine enough that it doesn't clog.
