This would be the best thermometer I have ever used. As a home inspector, I need quality tools with great features to make my job more efficient. The magnetic front is practical. The cover slides open at the back and turns into a small extension to make it easier for me to get to the vents. The backlight is handy so I don't have to pull out the flashlight in darker places. The clip allows you to neatly store the tool on your belt or in your pocket. BUT this thermometer has a FATAL flaw! The pocket clip rotates 90 degrees to access the battery. After removing the clip, one of the batteries falls out and the device becomes unusable. It is VERY easy to make and during the first week of use I had many times clipping the thermometer to my tool belt and the clip would spin and fly around throwing the battery around with it! As a result, he lost his footing while working and only realized it at the end of the day in the second week. So he wasn't good enough. The second one I bought was clipped to a belt and the thermometer kinda twisted as I worked leaving a clip on my belt and the thermometer got lost somewhere. POOH! These are 2 thermometers bought and lost in 2 weeks due to a design flaw. Goodbye $40. Over the last few years I have become increasingly frustrated with Klien tools and this is the final straw for me. So thanks Klein, I will never buy your expensive junk again!
