EDIT: PWR+ support was very responsive. Device returned, checked, works. They refunded my money as it was determined that my hardware is not compatible with the device. Loved the product, sorry it didn't work for me. I bought the device because I knew I would need it soon. Didn't really try to use it until the return window closed. The device was not working (tried a few tested working devices). Contact the manufacturer for an RMA to update the verification with the results. Otherwise, the device is very easy to use. Basically a 120w laptop power cord with a car adapter on the end. The costs are also in this range. The unit is the right weight for a 120w adapter so I don't expect overheating issues if you're using something designed for a car and not wrapping it in pillows. My only concern for durability is the actual connection to the jack; The cable shield has no rib (or glue? which I wouldn't be happy about) or anything to "hook" it into the case, so any stress in the cable is transferred directly to the solder points. However, the way it connects would be pretty easy to re-solder if I felt the urge.
