When I bought my new house the fan and light cords were cheap fluorescent filament left by the seller. I have since updated and what is the difference. I'm small (5 feet). my friend is tall . We placed one in his office for the fan and he was able to trim it down with pliers. The center is hollow. The part is solid. Doesn't look cheap.
