As already mentioned, this collar is different from the one in the photo. I knew that when I bought it and got what I wanted. In the middle of the collar there is a gap with an O-ring, which makes it very easy to put on the leash quickly, as it always lies against your dog's neck. This was our pup's first collar and now it's outgrown so we'll probably be buying another one. If you've ever cleaned your dishes, you know how important it is to keep your leather goods clean. We clean and maintain this collar regularly and it has become soft and well lubricated with use. The stitching is still in perfect condition and reminds me of English bridle leather.
