Pros

Nikon 3100 has everything (well, or 95%) that you need for everyday tasks. Excellent ergonomics. Excellent kit lens. Excellent image quality (if your hands grow from there). Pleases externally and pleasant tactile sensations.

Cons

I won’t write nonsense about backlash and bracketing - this is paranoia. Well, tell me how the backlash of the gas tank cap can affect the operation of the car. It is similar here. You need a more powerful flash for reportage shooting, there are no wires in the kit to work with a computer.
