I was having problems with a previous DDR3 system running at 1600MHz dual channel, with some programs loading data on the fly, causing rendering and data issues. I've built an AMD system and wanted to make sure there weren't any more RAM frequency issues, 3600MHz DDR4 did the trick. At first I thought the heat shield was plastic, but it's a metal material and it actually works. I haven't tried overclocking as performance doesn't change much above 3600 on AMD machines anyway. Instead of pushing them and shortening their lifespan, I just set the BIOS to 3600MHz and left the timings algorithm stable. Works fantastic and couldn't be happier! The man makes this load fast!
