Review on Piece Sae Hex Bit Set by Jonathan Ulsth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I finally found the perfect set

It's small and compact but at the same time it has a wide range of sizes. They seem well put together. They look like they were forged, not cast. The fact that they have such a small footprint means I can get a lot in a small space and be prepared for almost anything. The dimensions are also laser engraved on the bottom! I bought both sets for a huge compliment of 24 standard and metric sizes. I hated the fact that almost all kits are a piece of hex pressed into a cheap head! So I decided to kick instead. The problem was that there were no complete sets ranging from small to medium. I believe Sunex used to make metric and standard 26 piece, 3/8" and 1/2" but I couldn't find them when I decided to get them. But since I don't need impact torque ranges, I was torn between 4 sets of impact wrenches and 4 sets of mediocre sockets. I was about to give up and wait another year or two when I stumbled across these little guys! The website I found them on charged $60 shipping for the SAE set alone. I searched a little more and was able to get both sets including shipping for $62 from a seller on Revain called IN THE HANDS OF PROFESSIONALS. Luckily I just gave them a glowing review after getting them in the mail! The blown plastic cases only measure: 7 1/2" x 4 1/8" x 1 1/2" tall!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin
