Description of MICHELIN Latitude Cross 235/60 R16 104H summer

The Michelin Latitude Cross tire series is designed for everyday use on SUVs and crossovers. Tread features and innovative rubber compound eliminate uneven wear. The Michelin Latitude Cross summer passenger tire is addressed to those car owners of crossovers who sometimes do not mind leaving the paved road, but are not ready to sacrifice comfort for the sake of uncompromising patency. This model, produced by one of the leaders in the global tire industry, is produced in more than two dozen sizes, ranging from 195/80R15 to 255/55R18. Such a range of sizes makes it easy to choose the right tire for almost any model of a modern SUV, crossover or pickup truck. Since the French tire manufacturers were trying to create an off-road tire with a hard surface, which is distinguished by the comfort of road models, the tread was equipped with a directional pattern with an asymmetric design. One of the distinguishing features of the tread pattern is the presence of a large number of cutting edges formed by numerous tread blocks. This structure of the tread pattern, which is more typical for winter models, significantly improved grip when driving on various types of surfaces. In addition, a large number of tread blocks improves braking performance, especially on slippery surfaces such as wet grass. The term Mud Catcher hides a special structure of the tread shoulder zones, divided by drainage channels into separate blocks. Their characteristic feature is the original arrow-shaped shape, replete with a large number of cutting edges. This allows you to achieve excellent grip when driving on soft, unstable soils and other slippery surfaces. As mentioned earlier, this model compares favorably not only with excellent cross-country performance, but also with a very high level of comfort for tires of this category when driving on paved roads. This was achieved thanks to the effective combination of an elastic rubber compound and scrupulously selected sizes and shapes of tread blocks. At the same time, the tread blocks are distinguished by a unique curved shape obtained using computer simulation tools, which is why the tread design got its name - Silent Tread. As you know, one of the most important components of any modern tire is the rubber compound. It is its composition that determines almost all the main performance characteristics of the Michelin Latitude Cross tire. When developing the rubber compound for this model, the company''s specialists used the same technologies and materials that were previously used for the production of tires intended for special equipment, in particular for earthmoving machines. Thanks to the massive size of the drainage channels, the tire tread perfectly gets rid of earth, gravel, pebbles and other foreign matter that accumulate when driving off-road.

The product suited me, I will recommend it to my friends.

Departure on tires for 5 seasons, mileage 72 t. Km. Of the four wheels, one pair has worn out to the indicators, the second one could still pass the season. Rubber has fairly rigid sidewalls and developed side lugs. Because of this, it holds shocks well and rows very cheerfully through mud and stones, but you have to pay with handling on the track. Especially when there is a pronounced rut, the car has to be constantly caught. There is something to compare with, at the eighth winter hakapelite…

Pros
  • Durable, rows well in mud and rocks
Cons
  • Rut unstable, harsh, noisy, prone to hydroplaning

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

Everything is fire, I chose according to reviews of real users Michelin Latitude cross 235.552022, on volvo xc70 3.2, I looked at the reviews on the Drive 2 website

Pros
  • works great even at -10C °, not noisy, but you should not expect complete silence from rubber with such a projector, although from the same rubber characteristics, toyo open country h t, 235.552022, there is significantly more noise
Cons
  • price

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Bought for Honda CR-V. The mileage is still small, but I managed to evaluate the acoustic comfort and resistance to hydroplaning in the city. The speed bumps pass gently, it enters the turn confidently, the car does not blow away. Can't wait for the gravel road test.

Pros
  • Comfortable tires, quiet, soft.
Cons

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

car vw multivan t5, dimension 235/60r16 102H, made in France. I replaced the winter nokian hakkapellita r2 suv of a similar size / load. The tires are just as quiet, they feel a little more rutting. Perfectly balanced. Because of the good tread, you will have more confidence when going to a picnic.

A terrible product, not satisfied with the purchase at all!

I read the reviews and decided to buy myself a ride on Gooduer, I put in the salt not noise, but a roar, the consumption increased by 3 liters, hard, like on a cart over 140, it’s generally unbearable, such rubber for nothing, I don’t need pressure, I made from 2 to 1 6 a little softer, and on Gooder it’s excellent 255 65 17 hover

After winter tires, the first week of spring I drive with great strain. I skated one season, on the track, when driving through a pit, one wheel broke. If I had a choice, I would take a different tire. Some pros: Prado 120 machine, from the advantages of softness, can appearance With its cons: due to this softness inadequate behavior. On an asphalt track, it shakes from side to side, when braking, the steering wheel pulls sharply to the side. This is at a pressure of 2.0-2.1. Had to increase…

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

No Has some pros: I have both a winter and now a summer tire from this company. Ease of operation, vehicle stability, wear resistance. Cons below: A little noisy and noticed that small stones getting stuck in the tread fly out and hit the body. Hope it is while they are new.

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Got pros: I drive this model for 8-9 years (the third set on the second car), construction sites, the city. In moderation, you can mix dirt, and it does not make noise on the pavement. Its cons: when leaving a dirty area on asphalt, dirt flies out of the tread for a long time.

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Drove a season on this tire. Very happy! I strongly doubted its noise characteristics due to the tread pattern, but I was pleasantly surprised, the rubber does not make noise at various speeds, while holding the road perfectly. Dry/wet asphalt - all the same. Puddles without hydroplaning. Off-road - absolutely better than any main tire. Forgot about the rut. A huge plus is the presence of an additional reinforced bead on the side of the tire - I'm not afraid to scratch the disc when parking…

Cons

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

Over 10 thousand km, the wear is very small, even the antennae on the tread have not yet been completely erased. I think 70-80 thousand pass if it goes like this. I am 100% satisfied with the choice for my requirements (driving along the highway for long distances + dirt roads and other non-extreme off-road areas in search of fishing spots). In short, it is excellent on the highway and does not give up on the country road. As a feature, I can note, in my opinion, too early a screech in tight…

Pros
  • Quiet, on the track just fine, no worse than other clean highways from Michelin at sane speeds. It feels great on primers (up to 110 km/h, I didn’t drive faster), the moment of stalling into a skid is predictable and very smooth, easily corrected by the steering wheel (Subaru Outback). Good for light and medium off-road (again, compared to the highway). Excellent behavior on wet roads, puddles - I don’t remember about hydroplaning on it in any downpour (even my winter tires lose to it in this). For a long time you can not switch to "winter". On the first snow it feels great, it slows down slightly worse than on asphalt.
Cons
  • Weight, heavy, and in connection with this, the suspension works differently, increased unsprung masses are felt, and in connection with this, comfort on poor-quality asphalt suffers. In fact, it is more pleasant to ride on a rolled primer than on unimportant asphalt with patches and joints.

For the central autobahns, of course, you can choose more optimal shoes. But for the typical asphalt of the province, outings without extreme sports, this is an ideal tire. They were made in France. For 7 seasons, the price has not changed - so ours are already stamping. Has some pros: Rav-4. Mileage on tires is about 180 thousand km in half with the Hakki winter kit. Steer to zero. 80% asphalt, but at the beginning far from ideal. Now the roads are better. Not a single problem on the road with

Rubber more than arranged for me, the main plus: it clings very well to off-road, mud and clay passes with a bang, as if it was created for it. On the highway 180-200 goes confidently, I don’t feel the rut. Volvo all wheel drive.

Pros
  • On clay and mud confident patency, never stuck in the most deplorable situations.
Cons
  • It seems like not the quietest, winter tires are quieter (well, it is naturally softer). The rear treads have worn out, most likely due to wheel alignment :(

The product does not match the description, poor quality.

Those passports say a lifetime warranty with wear less than 80,000 km. tread less than 4 mm. breakdowns . except for cases of a cut with a knife or when shot by traffic police officers during an escape . it's a shame, of course. . maybe the marriage got caught . now you have to write out another one . because the other with this pattern will not work . Its pros: Handling, not noisy, soft, accordingly looks beautiful . Cons below: three months later, a hernia came out on the inner sidewall of…

Positioned as 60% city, 40% off-road. This is the whole point. For the city and the highway, this is absolutely not suitable. The noise is just like on a tractor, handling and rolling are low. And now to off-road. Slips almost the same as any highway rubber. The tread gets clogged with dirt instantly. The conclusion is a simple rubber both on the track and in the dirt .

Pros
  • Brand
Cons
  • Noisy terribly, the roll is bad, off-road patency is conditional.

Great product, best quality.

My comment will be more like a comparison test. These MICHELIN Latitude CROSS tires (made in France) were used on an Opel Monterey car. before that, I went five years on a MICHELIN LatitudeTour HP (also left a review in French) on the same car. I live in Hong Kong. I traveled in winter and summer, both in the city and not in it. I went in January to St. In winter, the road keeps porridge not bad (better than MICHELIN LatitudeTour HP). at a reasonable speed from 85-90. but it's hard to overtake.

Pros
  • wear-resistant. durable (bumps, joints. pits tolerates well. ) holds the road well. and well resists hydroplaning.
Cons
  • noisy compared to MICHELIN Latitude HP

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

What would you understand: I'm not a beginner, there are two SUZUKI GRAND VITARA in the family, one three-door, the other five-door. I was lucky to take these grief wheels 225 70 r16 / on both of these cars, while they were new they behaved quite adequately, but as the run gets worse and worse, God forbid 3-4 millimeters wore out (runs are small). when I put on winter tires, the problem "takes off like a hand" On one car, a winter Michelin on another bridgestone. Spring is now. it's time to…

Pros
  • Rides well on wet roads. The first 10000 km. rode quite a nothing. soft enough
Cons
  • I don’t know how to put into words how the car behaves on the road on this rubber, especially in ruts. The car can easily jump to the side half a row in an instant, you have to taxi all the time, there can be no talk of any active steering at speed, it seems that the rear does not keep up with the front when rebuilding (Somehow it reminded me of the situation when I put diagonal tires on the rear of the Zhiguli and left radial tires on the front) Noisy, poor wear resistance. Do not expect that this rubber can be driven in winter. The first snowball and the car as a "cow on ice"

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

It's on a captiva. Skated 65+ because. I have been using it for 3 years, for the last 2 years I have been riding it all year round (I live in Ossetia, in winter up to -10). I shoot only to balance. Wear resistance is good, until the end of the year and +20 t. Km. will pass for sure. Rows/brakes well in snow. On ice - predictable. On wet ground it clogs instantly, not for dirt. On hard ground, it self-cleans quickly. There were no punctures/cuts/hernias. It buzzes on "coarse-grained" asphalt…

Pros
  • Excellent braking. Reasonably resistant to aquaplaning. All season*
Cons
  • Buzzing. Expensive.
