I bought this to randomly transfer data and download items from my MacBook Air. At first I thought that my computer or the size of the data was the reason for the very slow data transfer. Then I compared it to my other USB sticks which were 10x faster and found it was just plain slow. I had 10 of these so tried another one - same thing. Only slowly. I'll be looking for a set soon. You don't have to wait 10 times longer to transfer your data. (A typical 3-minute translation takes about 30 minutes, and that's probably on a good day!)
