Leak in the vent cap
The quality of the container is good, but it leaks through the vent cap (not the thread). The lid is held in place by a small plastic rod that goes through both the lid and a hollow threaded piece that has the actual vent. The water would find its way through the hollow threaded part and then around the plastic rod. To solve this problem I pushed out the plastic insert and put a large amount of teflon tape around the protective insert, re-tightened the cap and inserted the plastic rod. After setting the container on its side, it now appears to be sealed.
