I've never been able to fit salad containers into my lunch boxes (her personal favourite), but that goes for everything and more. I was afraid it would be too big, but no. The design is just different, and while it's a bit bigger, it doesn't stand out HUGE. We have a light turquoise/mint colour. As you'd expect, it gets dirty pretty easily. It's usually washable, but the outside had to use some detergents in addition to the usual soap and water. But inside it is very clean.
