Review on Amesser Whetstone Knife Sharpening Stone Abrasive & Finishing Products by Ricky Bedell

Our kitchen knives were so dull that I considered ordering new ones. Considering how expensive new knives are, I decided to sharpen our old ones first. This set was good value and I was pleasantly surprised at how well packaged and the size of the stone - I was concerned about sharpening large knives on a small stone but this stone is large enough for most knives. The rubber frame and plastic body hold the stone in place well while sharpening. The included water drop is a nice touch, but not really necessary. The "corner guide" is a good idea, but I found it useless as it just gets in the way. There is some sort of branded appliqué on the face of the stone which is a bit slick and hinders the actual sharpening, but I'm sure it will wear off quickly and will no longer be a problem. For less than $30 I am blown away by the value of this little set and would definitely recommend it.
