Misleading description, NOT BRASS WOOL.

Bought 3 boxes of these steel wool strips to use at my coastal home in Maine, specifically for closing gaps and holes that the mice use to gain entry to basement of house, and also into our pop-up camper. Easy to use, much better than steel wool pads. However, the add specifically states BRASS wool. This is not brass wool. This is steel wool that will rust in damp locations, and humid salt air. I should've checked the contents of the boxes when I first received them and would've had time to…

Great For Stuffing Holes To Keep Rodents Out

We live in a forest and have lots of various types of rodents around. We’re always working on that, looking for cracks and holes and sealing them up. Rats and mice can’t chew through steel wool, and that’s why it’s effective. We’ve often used steel wool pads for this, but this 2-pack of flat steel wool bands are an improvement. The quantity and quality are much more than expected; way more. No complaints

First time purchasing this product and I am so glad I did. The steel wires do not tangle or get caught on other things like a previous product from another seller. It's easy to use.

Not sure yet on my review.

It seems thinner than pictured. This would be good for a small space. I am waiting on results, feeling hopeful. The control fill fabric may not be suitable for use in high traffic areas, requiring more durable materials for protection!

Hate those mices to pieces

Nice neat roll to stuff the holes only complaint is it’s hard to find the beginning. I stuff it inside a pipe insulation tube to block the opening on my Bilco door seems to work great

BEWARE IT WILL RUST

This steel wool will immediately rust at the first sight of humidity, rain or water. Beware, it will leave stains on your siding, walls, concrete or anything it touches. Eventually it will crumble to shavings and look like a clump of mud.

For plants in my review

I am using this layer on the dirt of my plants to help reduce the gnats. We started seeing more and more of them prior to the process of spraying neem oil, putting the steel wool on top of the dirt and placing sticky pads around the plants. It seems to be working.

Good Protective Barrier

I purchased this product to resolve a rodent problem. Some critter has made its way into my attic. This product has a large amount of steel wool that easily unravels. I used the steel wool as a barrier around a pipe that the critter has chewed on. So far the steel wool is a good deterrent. I can recommend this product, and would purchase it again.

Easy to use and lots of it! They should sell one piece because I may not ever open the second bag. I does the job filling spaces.

So Far no Mice in my review

We have had a horrible time this fall with field mice in our home even with having an exterminator. We had a few holes that needed to be filled so we used this and so far so good! You got a lot of steel wool in the package so I have plenty left over if needed in the future!

Keep those darn rodents away with this here stuff

Bought this to plug up access points for mice at our cabin. Use gloves! :). Easy to unroll and install and cuts easy with a good pair of scissors
