Ideal for hot flashes. I had to replace a similar one, if not the same one, maybe with another manufacturer or dealer, some time passed. That one of the fan blades has stopped rotating. This seems to be working fine. I've had it for about a month now and it hasn't given me any problems. It has 3 speeds and pretty low in most cases. One thing that's annoying, and that's just the design, is that my hair gets caught in the blades from time to time and my hair gets pulled. This is not fun. You must be careful with this. It also has a backlight, multicolored. I don't need it, and the button for it is more accessible than the fan, which is odd. One thing that sucks for me about this and a lot of newer electronics is the charging cable. It's short and won't fit in an outlet. I had to buy something to plug into an outlet to charge these USB type things. I deduct a star for that. The cord is short and does not fit in the outlet. Otherwise, this is a great thing for us women going through the menopause.
