Like most teenagers, my sons have an oily T-zone and acne-prone skin. We tried many over the counter products but they ended up drying out the skin. I found this product in an article about products for oily skin. I bought it together with the cleanser for oily skin. The boys have been using this combination for about 2 weeks and are very happy with the results they are seeing. Both flared up within the first few days of use, but everything went smoothly after that. I was expecting breakthroughs as this is designed to clear those pores. They use this after cleaning the skin with a cleanser. The toner is designed to balance skin after cleansing but before moisturizing. It helps remove bacteria from pores to prevent breakouts and removes detergent residue to keep pores from clogging. One of my sons has sensitive skin so avoiding alcohol is very important. Instead of alcohol, witch hazel is used as an astringent, and then aloe vera gel is added to keep the skin from drying out. I'm amazed at how well this combination works and now I need to buy a moisturizer.
