Mafter is a French brand that makes and sells a lot of great cookware. Their products aren't cheap, but they're worth it. I've used a few Shinua at work and own a Mafter and another cheaper nameless stainless steel for home use. Comparing a cheaper car to a Matfer is like comparing a Yugo to a Rolls Royce. Mafter feels so good in your hands that you end up just looking for an excuse to use it. I also found a mushroom-shaped pestle (at a local grocery store) that fits almost snugly into the bottom of the chinu (I've attached a photo of it). If you can find one, buy it because it makes squeezing the juice out of things very easy... and works better than a 'regular' pestle in many cases. The closest thing I see to my mushroom pestle at Revain is the wooden conical pestle from Rosle, which I don't own so I can't vouch for it.
