Review on 🪞 Graywind Roller Shades Fabric Sample - 100% Blackout Window Treatment by Vace Thompson

Our old blinds were falling apart and we wanted motorized blinds in the home for 2-3 years. During that time I did a little research but didn't find anything that we really liked enough to give out such a bounty. I think the prices were usually around $500 per blind most of the time. Fast forward, and we've recently started seeing a few more options. that work with Alexa and other smart home settings. We wanted Alexa to control them. We considered the Ikea option but read many reviews noting how difficult it was to bring them together. Ditto for some of the other options here on Revain. We finally stumbled across these blinds from Graywind. Most of the feedback has been positive, with no overwhelming complaints about the smart home pairing (if any). We decided to give it a try. We ordered samples first, found the color we liked and then ordered 4 blinds. with Zigbee (we have Echo Show 2nd Gen which works out of the box which is nice). Blinds arrived within the time stated, lots of extra equipment needed to be installed. The remote control is pre-programmed. Blinds are the right size and well packaged. Almost everything was in one breath! As for the installation, I would just like to say that we opted for indoor hung shutters and we had limited space to install the equipment. They are quite deep, maybe 4 inches (roughly) so keep that in mind when considering this. I ended up having to drill a separate hole in each of the mounting hardware backwards to mount our windows, but it worked and didn't make much of a difference in the end. I'm not a handyman, just your everyday 30's dad who regularly fixes at least 10 things a day. I did this in my sleep :) All in all, we love our new blinds! It's great to be able to just ask Alexa to open/close the blinds whenever we want. I definitely recommend them.
