I first reviewed this product because the retailer wanted to charge me a fortune to replace a crappy paper filter. I bought this unit for about half what the retailer was willing to charge. The main factor that influenced my decision was the price and the fact that the filter can be cleaned and reused. The filter was also very easy to install. Installation literally took less than two minutes. What I didn't expect was an increase in gas mileage. On a recent trip, I was able to squeeze 515 miles out of a full tank. I first noticed this when I flew past the gas station I usually stop at in Pearl, Mississippi, and realized my range was still 120 miles. I was smitten! I'm usually already angry when I go to Pearl, Massachusetts. This was done with the air conditioning on full blast and a speed of 80-85 mph in a 2020 Toyota Tundra 4x4. I couldn't believe it! Normally I can barely get 410 miles on a full tank. On the way back I checked it again and filled up in Meridian, Massachusetts. I drove 530 miles out of the tank and pulled into the driveway with 1.5 gallons in reserve and again the A/C was on full blast and 80-85 mph the whole time. This is about 25%-30% more fuel economy.
