Watch out for other reviews. This item is clearly overpriced! While the design may be exceptional, you won't get more out of this cable than you would get with a standard IEEE1394 cable at about 1/4 the price! I use the free cable that came with my FireWire card and it works great every time. (This cable costs more than my FireWire card and cable combined, by the way.)
