Review on 💾 Efficient Data Storage: Western Digital 8TB EASYSTORE External HDD (WDBCKA0080HBK-NESN) by Troy Robinson

I'm really having trouble with this device. It keeps disappearing from my iMac and I have to keep unplugging and plugging it back in for it to be recognized. As a result, my Time Machine backups keep failing. I've installed all WD software and even disabled all power saving features on the drive, including my operating system, but it still won't stay plugged in overnight. It's very frustrating not being able to do automatic nightly backups with this drive and I've had success with Western Digital's prized drives. My history with this company was great prior to this trip. I would say that about 3 out of 4 external drives I've used with WD in the past have worked flawlessly. This one just didn't make it all the way to the top.
