I bought these for my older dog who has trouble going up and down stairs. They are the perfect size for my porch steps. They come with adhesive on the back, but don't expect much from adhesive. So I used a construction stapler to attach them to the wooden steps and it's been a few weeks and they really help. I used to use strips that rub like sandpaper and my dog didn't really like stepping on them and because they were flimsy they fell off the clips. I think they will work much better and I like that they come in pairs so I don't have to buy many at once unless I need that many. They're made out of rubber rather than hard plastic, making them less likely to break in cold weather etc.
