These pillowcases are soft. I iron them because I iron all my pillowcases. If you iron them, iron on a medium or medium setting. The iron will stick if it is too hot. I didn't give it five stars for one reason. The front seam is finished with decorative tape. But there is no back seam. I've never had a pillowcase like this before. I tried to ignore it but he looked unkempt on the bed. My OCD couldn't handle it! Since I don't have a sewing machine, I sewed the seam by hand. It did not last long. Now I'm happy with the pillowcases. But there was no mention that the back was unstitched. So I'm reviewing this product so others know. However, I give five stars for the softness and comfort.
