Disappointed with computers and accessories

I was excited and ready to get this to reduce clutter. I plugged it into the only USB port on my new VIZIO Smart TV and that's it. To my disappointment, the cable didn't work. He posted a message that my USB port doesn't have enough power to support a fire stick or similar words. I've tried several times with the same result. i want it to work
