This is a lightweight padlock that will keep your friends from getting into your locker. The combination is easy to set up and runs quite smoothly. But: The spring that holds the end cap and stabilizes the combination breaks spontaneously after a short time. It keeps coming loose because the spring clasp - the little man - just breaks with normal use. It's not just my problem. Three friends with the same lock models had the same problem. This is obviously a manufacturing defect. Yes, Master Lock offers a lifetime warranty. But to get a new lock you have to send in an old broken one and Master Lock doesn't pay postage. This hardly fails a cost benefit analysis, but I will not be replacing my broken lock with another Master Lock 1534D.
