Review on AMMSUN Beach Umbrella Sand Anchor Stand Holder with Hanging Hook for Most Sizes - Secure Stand in Strong Winds, Umbrella Holder by Chris Burks

but the good reviews convinced us

My husband (who's name you see) and I were a bit skeptical when purchasing this item, but the good reviews convinced us. They were right! Practically every time we had been to the beach with a beach umbrella, either we worried it might fly away, or it actually did, on a couple of occasions. This piece is quite large, so we dug a deep whole in the sand (even used one of the handles to help dig, instead of risking cutting ourselves on a shell, broken glass, or something) and placed it inside. Its bottom part is shaped like a screw and, once in the whole, you twist it in deeper, holding the handles, which makes the job easier. Once you place the umbrella inside the tube, you secure it by rotating the round piece on top. We finished it up by putting sand inside the tube, around the umbrella's pole, and covered the whole thing with sand.We didn't need to worry at all about the bit of wind. Other beach umbrellas were flying. but not ours!Totally worth the cost and the potencial hustle of having to carry it along.(Sandra Adams)

Pros
  • Went to the beach on a windy day and had no issues. This was exactly what I needed and was easy to use!
Cons
  • The sand anchor may not be compatible with all types of beach umbrellas, limiting its versatility
