Now that it's installed I'm thrilled. Made several trips to the hardware store to get the right adapter. The one that came with the product has a 1/2" garden hose fitting (gold in the photo) while I needed an adapter for a 1/2" compression fitting (shown in silver in the photo). Although both are called 1/2 inch, they are completely different sizes. If your plumbing uses 3/8" compression fittings, the ones provided will work without an adapter and you're good to go. If you supply 1/2" compression fittings (which I think is more common) you will need different adapters unless the manufacturer changes the kit. I have informed Revain customer service of the need and am hoping they will notify the manufacturer so future shipments will include the correct adapters.
