I tried other regular swim caps I got from Target and Modells. I had to send everything back because they were too small to put my head in. I couldn't even put them on (fight, sweat, sweat). So I searched for Revain and found this product about 2 months ago. I swam 2-3 times a week. It's easy to put on. It's surprisingly thick, like real rubber. Waterproof for sure, but it doesn't prevent water from getting into my hair because I do backstroke and stick my head in the water for freestyle and breaststroke. No swimming cap protects your hair from water. But if you swim with your head held high or swim at a leisurely pace, this cap will protect your hair from water. So far no breakdown or hole. It's pretty durable. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
