Great idea the handle is lengthened

Great idea the handle is lengthened. Bad idea for the paddle to be fully extended. It had to have a snap button lock to keep the paddle from slipping. If you push it way down, be prepared to reach it.

Light wings

I use them for stirring salt water in home aquariums. In the beginning it was great. I noticed it traps water in the shaft so I drilled a drain hole in the base. I also overtightened the handle, the ring snapped and now something is broken or loose inside and the lid won't snap into place. So if you really plan on using this I'd buy something more reliable, but that would be great for what it's made for, an emergency paddle.

Buy something else.

Water tends to get into the blade and then it won't close no matter what I do. Eventually it dries up and works again. The paddle also doesn't tend to remain telescoping during use. So basically I just had to buy a proper paddle because the telescoping part of it didn't work. I'm only giving it 2 stars because I've used it several times with varying degrees of success, kinda. It seems better than without a paddle, but hardly.

Perfect size and fit for my River Run snorkel

All my friends laughed at me when I showed up at the river with my snorkel and this one. They call me Safety Sin because I always try to think ahead. But at the end of the day they asked me where to get it. It came into my hand floating down the river in my whistle as I tried to stay clear of rocks and branches. It fits perfectly on the side handle of my flow pipe and is the perfect size to stay on my pipe without coming my way. He swims, which came in handy when the kids played with him. I had

Not the quality I expected.

If you're planning on using this racquet in the pool I'm sure it will fit. but on the river where you have to pass it's not great. "Extensions" isn't great, they don't block or collapse properly. I'm sure if you're just saving this for quick 'just in case' use because your quality paddle is missing or broken, yes that's better than nothing. But if you have this as your primary, find a second reason why this keeps failing. I know because I used mine just yesterday at Kings River. I plan to spend

  • Not bad but...

I hate to write a bad review, but after the first few minutes and the first big paddle on our 3 hour subway ride down the river in the Colorado mountains, my paddle broke. THE FIRST MINUTES OF A 3 HOUR RIDE. This emergency paddle was actually the complete opposite. I had to go through small rapids all the way and constantly paddling with my hands and pushing rocks to stay where I wanted to be all the way down because the paddle broke after paddling with it for a few minutes would have. My ride…

Useful quickly

I purchased this paddle and received it a few days before my trip to Lake Powell in late June 2019. Unfortunately we stumbled over a sunken rock on the first day of our trip. In order to be towed back to our houseboat, I had to pull my 24 foot Centurion WakeSurfing boat away from the rocks lest our other boat suffer the same fate. I pulled out this handy little emergency shovel and quickly got us about 50 yards into the safe zone. If you know how to paddle, this little paddle is perfect. Place…
