they abuse boards like you wouldn't believe

I L-O-V-E this product. I have three kids that I take paddleboarding all the time, and despite my admonitions and warnings, they abuse boards like you wouldn't believe. Being able to quickly effect epoxy board repairs like I can with Solarez is such a blessing. I've even done really clean nose and FCS box repairs with this stuff. And now one of them wants to start longboarding, so I expect my frequency of repairs will only increase. THANK YOU for this product. It's a massive time and money…

Pros
  • It works pretty well. Kinda hard to get into the shape you want though.
Cons
  • Tried it on two surfboards and it’s already ripping off. Not the best purchase.

Good for Surfboard Repair

Good product, make sure to apply epoxy in the shade and not let the tube dry out too much or else the resin becomes hard to spread evenly. Came with a sandpaper block too.

Pros
  • Patching dings in paddleboards
Cons
  • The kit may require a long curing time

Works fine, make sure to follow instructions.

Works as described, you DO need direct sunlight for it to work, being in a "well lit” room was not enough to activate the resin. Once I took the board outdoor to direct sun light it set.Be careful and make sure there’s no little air bubbles at all in the repair you are doing.I bought this to repair a small dent next to the rail of my board. Once im able to go outside again I will be updating on how the repair has held. Why not 5 stars, I wish a small section of shear plastic came with the kit…

Pros
  • These resins cure exceptionally dry unlike other UV cure resins that cure tacky.
Cons
  • The kit may not be as durable as a professional repair

Great for surfboard repairs!

Used it to repair a ding on my SUP board. Works like it should! Just need to remember to apply the resin away from any direct UV rays so that you can extend the life of the resin in the bottle. Once applied, the sun dries the resin out fairly quick!

Pros
  • Contains urethanes that keep from yellowing; Eco-friendly Zero vapors, non-flammable
Cons
  • The kit may not work well on boards with intricate designs or patterns

Great quick fix for surfobards/SUPs!

This stuff works great, however there is one small detail I didn't quite understand when I purchased. Sunlight is an absolute necessity when using this to make repairs. I thought sunlight was just an accelerator, not a requirement. So, make sure when you are ready to use, you have a nice clean surface and know exactly where you want to apply it. Because once you apply this stuff in the sun it hardens really really fast. It feels like less than a minute when it starts setting up, and is rock…

Pros
  • Sets up fast
Cons
  • The kit may not be environmentally friendly

It sets up really really fast.

It works well, but I would recommend to buy in the smallest size. I just hope the tube doesn’t get hard after opening, even when I always put the Top immediately.

Pros
  • Wax
Cons
  • The kit may require ventilation for use

Stand up paddle board cure!

I bought this after a recommendation from a fly tying buddy who also runs an outdoor store. I used it to patch a thumb nail sized hole in a Riviera stand up paddle board. I followed exact directions and it set up perfectly!

Pros
  • Used the whole tube to fix all the dings and cracks on my 20 year old long board.
Cons
  • The kit may not be suitable for all types of paddleboards and surfboards

Update to incorrect order received

Initially the wrong size was sent. I was told to return the item. I had used some of the tube before I noticed the discrepancy. I was not sure on how to return an open tube and kind of let the situation drop. However in the mail today I received a new tube and the correct side.Greatly appreciated and unexpected.

Pros
  • dings done in minutesGregg Brizland
Cons
  • The kit may cause skin irritation

Love the product. Just got a bad batch

Typically never have any issues with them. This one seemed to be partially cured or maybe just past its shelf life. Was extra thick and chunky. Got the job done but was quite a pain

Pros
  • Can also be used to repair other types of watercraft or household items made of fiberglass
Cons
  • The kit may require additional sanding and polishing to achieve a smooth finish

Works well in a hole but not on cracks.

Filled a serious ding nicely! Plenty of fiber. Flat out sucks on pressure dings with cracks only unless you dig it out. No glass finish.

Pros
  • Cures clear but takes a while to cure if not done in direct sunlight.
Cons
  • The kit may have a strong odor

Not just for surfboards.

I used this to repair a cracked fridge door shelf. Worked great. Will take a few days to fully cure without tackiness.I have used this for surfboards in the past any it also works like a Charm there as well.

Pros
  • Worked great on my girlfriends epoxy board.
Cons
  • The kit may not work well on dings located in high-stress areas of the board

Easy to use and worked great for me.

I ordered a cheaper polystyrene surfboard because I was a beginner at the time and unfortunately, it arrived with a small divot. Purchased the Solarez and followed the directions. It filled up the dent just fine, was hard by ten minutes later and fully cured about 24 hours later. My repair dried crystal clear. Just make sure that if you order Solarez, you order the proper compound depending upon the material used in your board. The repair for me has held for the last several months and I have…

Pros
  • Includes Solarez UV Cure Epoxy Resin & 60/240 Grit Sand Pad
Cons
  • The kit may not be able to repair multiple dings or cracks at once

Recommend, easy to use.

Very easy to use, there are glass fiber already mixed with the epóxi. Really recommend. Filled the damage on my SUP and it stopped taking water inside

Pros
  • Worked on our inflatable paddle board. Paddled down the river with no problems.
Cons
  • The instructions may be difficult to follow for beginners

Ding repair for surfboard

Favorite ding repair epoxy, easy to use, and a better price at 10 dollars than in the surf shop. Wish a larger tube option was available.

Pros
  • Enables you to fix minor damages without having to replace the entire board
Cons
  • The kit may not work well on boards with a deck pad or other decorative elements

Quick and easy for small dings.

This worked perfectly for multiple <2inch diameter dings on my surfboard. There's a lot of product in the tube to do either multiple spots or one fair sized one. Application was a breeze and it set/hardened super quick in the DIRECT sunlight (crucial point, follow the instructions). Definitely recommend this product to bring some life back into those damaged boards.

Pros
  • Used it to repair cracks on my ABS paddle board. Worked exactly as described. I would buy it again.
Cons
  • The repair may not be as strong as a professional repair

If on the go, this is a good choice.

Best on the go epoxy resin with sun curing. Don't use for big problems of permanent fixes if you aren't in a rush because it just won't last.

Pros
  • ‎7.87 x 3.15 x 3.15 inches
Cons
  • The epoxy resin may yellow over time

Fixed ding in board

My husband got a ding in his board from the "not me ghost". Great product fixed the board and he was able to use it the next day.

Pros
  • great product
Cons

This Stuff is Great!

I surf whenever i can, roughly 3 times a week. Anyone that surfs decent sized waves know you'll occasionally get tossed around over reef and what not, picking up dings along the way. When that happens you'll wanna get that puppy patched up asap and this stuff is exactly what you want.In short, this stuff works great, and lasts long. I crunched my the nose of my board and lathered it up and was back in the water in no time. This is definitely my go to and i would recommend having this on hand if

Pros
  • ‎SOLAREZ
Cons
  • The repair may not hold up well in extreme hot or cold temperatures
