I am looking for a stroller for a trip to Europe. As such, it must negotiate cobblestones and rough roads, and fold up for planes and cars full of suitcases. I got the City Mini GT first but returned it because, despite its description, it doesn't have the ability to roll gracefully over bumps (very rough on bumpy terrain due to the lack of shock absorbers). The Mini handles rough terrain MUCH better than the CMgt, even though it doesn't have shock absorbers. I was concerned the bars would be too short for me (I'm 5'7" but have a very long stride - 32" inseam) but the bars are fine if they match the chassis. I can make it even bigger by moving it vertically, but I don't have to. The backrest offers a good height (20 inches), the seat width is 12 inches. What's missing is the leg extension - about 7 inches! My baby is 8 months old, 28.5 cm tall. Even his children's legs don't have time to reach the footrest. I've never seen a stroller with so little legroom! Of course, a bigger child could just bend the knees, but I've never let a toddler sleep clean and tidy, so I can't imagine a third time being the cutest in this department. I imagine feet banging against the sides of the footrest, making the baby feel like he's going to slide off after about a year (which is a real shame because the kickback is wonderful and deep). Now I'm going to try the Mountain Buggy Swift as it's marginally larger when folded (the Mini's folded package is great) and hopefully the extra size will fit a bigger kid better. And the pneumatic tires should ensure even more driving fun - a nice bonus! See my photos for sizing information on the mini.
