This is great BUT the recommended amount is too much. If you use this amount, you will see ammonia spikes and possibly shrimp kills, depending on the number of bubble stones and usage. Is it powdered food? which contains aerobic bacteria and coats your plants/decor to encourage the growth of the biofilm that the shrimp actually eat. Aerobic bacteria mean they can actually use up the oxygen your shrimp need to live, so you should at least have a good aeroston. Pour some water into the container and then add it. This will prevent a ring of foam from forming at the top, which will attract all of your snails and blow up their population. If the snails eat it, your shrimp won't. Do not use daily, just maybe every 3rd day. This counts as feeding even if you can't see anything. The other 2 days you can use kibble or fine powder. My aquarium is remarkably cleaner since using this material as it gets the shrimp running around cleaning every bit of the many plants and decorations. But treat it like medicine, more isn't always better.
