As with all lipstick collections, there are some shades that I love and some that I just can't or don't want to. do not use. I didn't particularly like the darkest (plum) shade - it was too dark and purple for me, but I really liked the reds and pinks (I have strawberry blonde hair - or was before it turned grey). The lipstick is easy to apply and has what I call "normal lipstick scent" very slightly flowery. It's quite moisturizing - my lips feel healthy and hydrated for quite a while after wearing it. The red (the one I use the most) lasts a few hours and looks great. I love the collection and I think it would make a great gift because it gives the recipient so many options to choose from. The quality seems good to me, so I'm very satisfied.
