I didn't have long lights so can't comment on durability or battery life. I was looking for an inexpensive USB rechargeable white and red light flashlight. The fact that there's also a spotlight mode was a bonus. I ordered the rest of my test by the characteristics I noticed: Brightness: I compared it to my 1000 lumen ANSI flashlight and while the headlamp seemed a bit dimmer, the hotspot continued to expand. Given that a headlamp is less than a third the price of my 1,000 lumen flashlight, I'm not deducting a single star. Water Resistant: Seems like it can withstand splashes like rain and I like that the USB charging port has a rubber cap and is under the lamp instead of on top, making it a bit more water resistant. As the instructions say, I wouldn't submerge it in water.
