Nowhere near a beauty blender
I read the reviews and thought the sponge was something of a real beauty blender, but I was wrong. The Beauty Blender feels very soft and when you squeeze it, it takes a while for it to spring back into shape. This sponge is much denser and harder, and as soon as you crush it, it forms instantly. The feeling is not like a beauty blender. The size is also too big. It's a bit overwhelming on the face. This is good for applying makeup, but definitely not a good cheat for a beauty blender.
