Well that confirms my belief that most Amazon reviews are fake, fabricated only to sell products. Take a chance on Commodore. The first thing that comes up straight away is the plastic basket strainer. Why make something out of plastic that needs to hold a heavy torque motor? Finger tightening the bottom locknut will strip the threads and you will not be able to tighten it enough. The next problem is a small hole in the basket that doesn't even let water through, let alone food scraps. If you force the water to run down the sink, it will back up. Even when the dispenser is running, the water flows out very slowly. The next problem is a weak engine. It snags almost to the crawl when trying to grind, even pure water will make it walk and slow it down. Not sure what I'm going to do now, but it's a waste of $70. Maybe I'll try a secondary filter or go back to the incinerator.
