I used this item one time and my machine started to shake and vibrate violently when the pod began to spin until it abruptly stopped and will no longer turn on. This is my second double espresso stainless steel pod from Capmesso. I use them daily, so I wanted to have an extra. This works as beautifully as the first. When I have used other reusable pods, the machine makes loud noises like it's a jet about to take off. I have never experienced that with these pods. I also like that there are no foil lids to mess with!

Originally, I followed the included instructions including tamping down the 4 scoops of grinds. In tamping down, my Nespresso Vertuo machine also gave the red warning light. After experimenting, I have found that four level scoops of grinds* WITHOUT TAMPING doesn’t present a problem for the machine and provides a strong cup of Joe. *Grinds straight out of store bought coffee grinds (HEB coffee, Central Texas).

I have a Breville Vertuo Coffee machine. This machine worked great with the stainless steel pods that you fill, for about three months. Now it drips not, and not hot. Only works with store bought coffee pods. This product is awful. Do NOT buy. Any ideas. I called customer service for the Breville people and they said I should clean it once a week; I did. And it worked one time and never since.

This version of this product works really well for us. We like dark, strong coffee and use Starbucks Sumatra and had them grind it to espresso consistency. The flavor is just as good as regular Nespresso pods at a fraction of the cost! We are very happy with this product. The customer service is also exceptional. They were very helpful when I had questions. Highly recommend!

All is good. As the shape of the pod is different than the pre-packed ones I was nervous but that has not been a problem. Due to other comments I thought I'd share the picture and some measurements.The receptacle holds 9-10 gr of finely ground coffee, depending on tamping. This makes quite a bit of espresso, it's definitely not a single shot. My husband and I split it, so it's perfect - very convenient; easy to fill, open and close, and the size means I don't have to rinse and reload twice every morning. I'm not sure how they did it, but the threads on this version don't get jammed with espresso grounds. I have tried this for a couple of months now. I can’t get more than half a cup of coffee from it. It is SO LOUD. My machine immediately went into descale mode but after descaling, the button keeps flashing. This is a waste of money.

Well, the new version is even better than the original. The 304 stainless is still beautifully machined, but is now just a tad lighter for better spinning, and there are one or two design changes, which make for a stronger cup with even more crema, and the crema seems sweeter to my taste.You should experiment with coffee brands, grinds, amounts and how hard you tamp. I was given a Nespresso machine and a supply of coffee pods and have been looking forward to my morning coffee ever since. What I wasn't looking forward to is buying the Nespresso pods. Got this as a present from a friend and my light went red and you could tell it was having a hard time brewing the whole time. Aftwr red light came on it stopped brewing, water was full in the tank. I followed the directions to a T. Very disappointed and angry

This is well made but I can confirm some of the some of the negative reviews. The actual pod coffee container portion of this, is the same size as the 5oz Nespresso pods. So when you brew it, expecting 7.7 oz, which is what it is coded for, it ends up being weak and metal tasting. If you stop the brew early the coffee tastes great, just as good as Nespresso pods. But for $24 I wanted a 7.7oz pod and didn’t want to babysit it to only get 5oz. It was also a real pain to figure out exactly what…

I’ve been using this capsule for two weeks without an issues or problems with my machine. It makes a great cup of coffee and I’m happy using my own espresso. I recommend giving it a try.

This is the new version - and VERY much improved. The old version was perforated where the water entered the pod which reduced water flow and water pressure. With this new version, the water goes straight into the pod (like a normal pod) and there are more perforations for the coffee to escape. Works like a champ.

Was asked to demo this unit for a review and I have to say it is worth the expense. I roast my own coffee and this is a great addition to my morning arsenal :). Easy to use and clean when done and works as intended. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a Nesspresso pod replacement.

This stainless steel capsule for my new Nepresso is great! I make coffee for the fraction of the cost of the store bought Nepresso capsules. I get the same froth on top and can make coffees of my choice. A must have!
