As mentioned in other reviews, this adapter does not solve the problem many of us have when we want to connect a 2.5" drive the way 3.5" drives do do. That is, with a shift to the side. For example, I have a 2011 MacPro. (This is a desktop tower for non-Apple users.) The Sabrent adapter didn't work. I need ribbon cable. Too picky. Here's one that does the job. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01ELRRKW8/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B01ELRRKW8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=1713835751726239774&pf_rd_r=WNJ74S6BBP580YDKWZ6K&pd_rd_wg=ixVZC&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=lbNu3&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=231376a6- 91bb-11e8-b81f-fd4e0edbabeb Fenlink 2.5" to 3.5" Internal SSD Hard Drive SATA Converter
