You probably need an adapter other than this one.

As mentioned in other reviews, this adapter does not solve the problem many of us have when we want to connect a 2.5" drive the way 3.5" drives do do. That is, with a shift to the side. For example, I have a 2011 MacPro. (This is a desktop tower for non-Apple users.) The Sabrent adapter didn't work. I need ribbon cable. Too picky. Here's one that does the job. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01ELRRKW8/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B01ELRRKW8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=1713835751726239774&pf…

Good for wired hard drives. Not for HDD holder.

Please note that this Revain listing contains two different items: BK-PCBS and BK-HDDH. Here I am looking at BK-HDDH, which is sold at a lower price than BK-PCBS. (I'm adding this note 7 months after my original purchase, I think the list may have changed in that time. Below is my original BK-HDDH review.) It's good for what it is, but I should note that it corresponds to the SSD in the middle. So the SATA and power connectors are not in the same place as on a regular hard drive. So it's not…

DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED POWER CORD. MY 2 ENGINES ROASTED!

I decided to free up some space in my case and removed a 3.5" hard drive case that I wasn't using. energy source. The mounting hardware in this kit works as expected and holds the two discs well with little play between the discs. Since the drives were now much closer together, I decided to use the included Y adapter plug to power the drives from the 4-pin connector. When I turned the computer back on, there was a brief flash and then nothing. I opened the case up again to check it out and…

SATA cables not as pictured

The two SATA cables I received did not have flat ends. One was but the other had a 90 degree end which I couldn't use on the HDD or mobo side. I knew I was getting two flat ends, but I'm not. I'm hoping they send me a new cable with two flat ends so I can rely on their cable instead of the much older one I'm stuck with now. The mounting bracket fits my HP SSD and XPG SX850 drives perfectly. The bracket is also perfect for the hard drive drawer. Aside from using a cable that I can't use, I've…

Done, the trick also works as a heatsink, read more

Works well, got this as I never wrote a review. I had no problems with it, I still use it today. Found out just by fiddling, if you put thermal pads (I think I used 1.5mm) between the SSD (don't cover the holes) and the mounting tray it will drop about 2c. from your pace. I only tried because I could, not because I had to. I have 2 SSDs, one in a regular 2.5" plastic bay with no thermal pads and the other I used for these. Both SSDs are from the same MX500 model of the same age, with the same…

The currently best mount for SSD.

This is the best SSD mounting bracket for almost any desktop PC. It has screw holes in the same places as a standard hard drive. Regular 3.5" bay with side screw -> WORKS Flat mount with bottom screw holes -> WORKSTRAy attachment with screws or standoffs that grab the side screw holes -> WORKS This is one of several SSD mounting brackets designed for these scenarios and you are suitable can also install a second SSD! The cables barely reach the old hard drive, they are too short as the

I am very pleased with this Sabrent Dual 2.5" Drive Adapter Kit and 3.5" Bay. I use these adapters a lot in my IT practice as I'm still replacing mechanical hard drives with solid state drives. So you can easily, quickly and safely replace your 3.5" hard drive with one or two SSDs. for about the same price! It can also accommodate 2 drives in a 3.5" bay, which allows for RAID when upgrading of a smaller form factor system. The tray comes with all the screws needed to install two 2.5" drives and
